Do we as NY'rs and irish americans really car what mayor bloomberg said?
seriously, we are blowing the same whistle, as people who pull the race card when they dont get their way, and we are better than that i think. i mean i am irish, and i am an alcoholic, albeit a recovering one, but an alcoholic still. i lived up to the stereotype to the letter. and i believe thoroughly that irish people are at a higher risk of becoming alcoholics than maybe your average person, just like illegal mexicans are more likely to look for work outside of a home depot, and 1 in 3 black people are drug dealing gun toting gangsters and red necks are inbred morons that like to sleep with their sister/mother, and jews ar cheap. and this is coming from a guy who is irish, was adopted by jews, and has black cousins, so i dont feel bad saying this. its all stereo types, and they exist for a reason, because statistically the vast majority of the given group of people you are talking about fit right into it. and at the end of the day, bloomberg was trying to make a joke, and just because we didnt think it was so funny, it doesnt mean we should pull the race card on him, we should just tell him to get better jokes, because if his joke was hilarious this whole thing would go the other way, i think that being politically correct is far more insulting, and demeaning, than being stereotypical. so what are the thoughts of the community?
