What elements of the 18th century classic era are present in today's society and the way we live?

I need to write a report for a class I'm taking in college and this is what my professor is asking us to write about. I am having a little trouble. Could anyone give me ideas, advice on what to say, where to go to help with the answer? I'd really appreciate it.
