Why do so many Americans remain fascinated with the Royal Wedding?

The royal family is a bunch of inbred thin-skinned uptight do-nothings. They should all be fired, not glamorized. Why should the British public be forced to support them with taxation? As for their own money, all their ancestral funds are the result of centuries of unjust taxation of the common people, for the purpose of supporting their lives of luxury. You disagree? Why?
