Admissions into University of Santo Tomas Medicine as an International Student?
I am going to be a senior in the United States majoring in molecular biology, and considering to apply to medical school in the Philippines particularly the University of Santo Tomas. My grades are alright at best. I currently have a 2.6 GPA, and have yet to take the MCAT. I am a US Citizen and a Filipino-American. I heard getting into UST Medicine is hard, but would I have a chance to get admitted even due to a poor GPA? I know UST takes a small amount of International Students, but do they look at your curriculum/previous school you attended? Do they prefer getting international students as they charge higher tuition? I know the NMAT and MCAT can also be considered into the admissions process as well as extra curricular activities like volunteer work/research/clinical experience. Any help would be great! Thanks
